The carbonised objects are hidden within the pots where they were created, they remain invisible, and what has risen from the ashes is only revealed after the fire has died down. There is no knowledge for the viewer to know what is inside, within the invisible. There is a spirit trapped within, that makes the content feel revered or taboo. In knowing that the carbonised objects are created inside the pots of The Edge of Collapse, they are then daring you to open the lid and have a look inside.
