The Edge of Collapse stacked pot sculptures are anthropological, they are ritualistic and act as markers or cairns. They can guide you to a destination and they tell a story, they represent people or ideas that have gone before, a reassurance that we’re not alone. They reveal an underlying reality to me. They are the relationship and connection with life around me, but as in life, there are intentional and unintentional outcomes from the randomness of their creation. I'm no longer resolving or anni­hilating, I am redefining the object to give it a wider, more diffused meaning. When stacked they display a vulnerability, with a slight touch they can come tumbling down, they are on the edge of collapse.
